For some Cisco IOS IP-SLA processes, monitored network performance statistics are stored in the SNMP and CLI MBS. IP-SLA packages have options that can be configured at the application and IP level. These include the source IP address, destination IP address, service type, web URL, VPN, routing or transmission instance, and UDP or TCP port numbers. IP-SLA (Internet Protocol Service Level Agreement) is a feature of the Cisco Internetwork Operating System (Cisco IOS) that allows an IT expert to collect information about network performance in real time. Cisco IOS IP Services Level Agreements (SLAs) enables customers to deliver new critical IP applications and IP services using data, language and video over an IP network. Cisco has expanded traditional service level monitoring and expanded the IP infrastructure to raise awareness of IP application by measuring both the end-to-end layer and the IP layer. Cisco IOS IP SLAs continuously collect data on Z.B. response time, latency, jitter and packet loss. This allows the network administrator not only to obtain basic information about network performance, but also to help the administrator verify QoS (service quality) levels and quickly identify the cause of a problem when performance levels decrease. When integrated into a Network Management System (NMS), visual alerts in case of threshold violation can be recorded in real time.
